"Nominated for best jazz vocalist, National Jazz Awards 2004"
"Lyne Tremblay's CD 'Break 'n Enter' has been selected as one of the top ten albums of the year by jazzfm 91.1"
Lyne Tremblay is one of the most original and intriguing jazz vocalists to emerge from the multiple, creative performance disciplines.
She sings in a sultry, torchy, bilingual euro-jazz style. Her sets range from elegance, in a silky gown, to a dramatic and fun cabaret theme with bowler hat and boas. Her repertoire is an eclectic mix of English and French with touches of German, Italian and Spanish. She interprets songs of Edith Piaf, Duke Ellington, Serge Gainsbourg, Gilles Vigneault and Blossom Deary as well as original material.
She has a style all her own. She mixes elements of dance, drama, surprise, and humour. Her physical presence informs every song. She enhances any room.
Lyne's accompaniment is from three to five players led by saxophonist Scott Marshall.
Her repertoire weaves a memorable theatrical evening in music.
