About Lyne Tremblay...

Lyne Tremblay is a welcome addition to the jazz world... although she is certainly no stranger to jazz performance. Her one woman cabaret show, "Gauche" has played to standing-room only audiences at "The Left Bank", "The Rosewater Supper Club" and "The Granite Club" in Toronto.

She has also taken her successful show on the road in a cross-Canada, bi-lingual show for Nissan Canada. Other outstanding engagements include The Royal York Hotel and Canada Post's "Club Excellence", presented in Orlando, Florida and the Theatre Francais' musical "La La La Mine de Rien", which was recorded at The Glenn Gould Studio.

In addition to her many vocal appearances, Lyne is probably best known in Toronto as "Cassandra" — Canada's original Siamese cat in Andrew Lloyd Weber's blockbuster musical, "Cats".

Other theatrical performances include the role of Sally Bowles in the Paris Production of the Kander & Ebb musical "Cabaret", Directed by Jerome Savary; "Anita" in the Stephen Sondheim and Leonard Bernstein's "West Side Story" and the role of "Nava" in Montreal's original musical, "Jerusalem".

Lyne Tremblay has appeared many times on both the big and small screen. Her television credits include "Street Legal", "E.N.G.", "Cover Me", "The Newsroom" and "Just a Kid". She can also be seen as a principal player in the feature films, "Atlantic City", "Night Magic" and "April One".

Upcoming appearances for Lyne (in support of Break 'n Enter) include "R.D.'s BBQ & Blues", The Toronto Downtown Jazz Festival, The Barrie Jazz Festival, and "Gate 403".

Lyne is also looking forward to her performances at a benefit for the elimination of poliomyelitis for the Rotary Club and a return to Theatre Francaise for next season's musical offering.
